Some more instrumental hiphop in my collection, what’s going on? I’m going to be getting into Trip Hop soon, ahhhhh! Luckily Analyst produces music of good enough quality for it to not need an emcee. Whether it’s the pure depressingness of ‘Magnificent Darkness’ and ‘Epic’, or the more uplifting ‘Running Of The Bulls’ and ‘Wind In The Willows’, its always good hiphop. The depth of the production is something that deserves major credit. You can almost hear the man hours that must of gone into layering these little beauties, with their stacks of switch ups. This is certainly true of the only track to have an emcee on, ‘Wind In The Willows’. Arc emcees with greatness over a beat that’s keeps fresher than a box of Persil, showing how the Analyst’s work can be rhymed over. With his next project I would like to hear some more lyricists used, because I do think Analyst could make a really good living producing that way. For now though, I’m happy to just sit back and enjoy the multi-layered slabs of fidelity to the art of hiphop. If your are lucky enough to find this piece, don’t be afraid to reach into your pockets, because it won’t bite.
