Blend Crafters consist of Jurassic 5’s DJ Nu-Mark alongside his loop digging best pal Pomo – and this sly little seven-inch showcases what such a friendship can generate. This record showcases two cannily melodious pieces of instrumental hip hop – very reminiscent of early Mo’Wax but without the chinstroking element. “Lola’ is a very original reinterpretation of the Kinks classic whilst the 60’s influenced ‘Unwind’ is guaranteed to raise a smile with its organ n’ horn soaked beatscape. Overall, a very pleasurable seven with two healthy slices of funky break building – perfect for a summers evening.
