Me&You Brown Paper Bag / The Hoop Loop 7"

A combination to make any mouth water, label owner Robert Luis and Alex Cowan, better known as TM Juke team up as me&you for a 7” ahead of their debut album Floating Heavy. Their first foray into producing together began at their set for last years’ Bestival for which they specially engineered a few tracks. After the positive reaction they received they have since spent some time in the studio to create the upcoming album.

The first offering reworks the drum and bass classic Brown Paper Bag by Roni Size into a chilled-out reggae lounge track, spiked with lazy flutes and gloriously mellow trumpets.

My personal favourite of the two tracks though is the B Side, The Hoop Loop. This has a classic funky jazz sound topped off with some more, catchy flute melodies and a mad drum break that is guaranteed to get some feet moving on the dance floor.

Released on May 14th, this is a nice little slice of things to come from this duo and definitely one to watch out for.
