27 Beats Entertainment Dream Farm / A Remote World 7"

It’s the small things in life that matter isn’t it? I mean, those little details that make all the difference. Well, I’m not on about the novelty of the 7”, I’m on about the fact that this release not only has a dope hand-drawn cover, but also hand-drawn inlays of the featured artists and lyrics. Now why can’t everyone try and give their product this much care and attention?

Once you’ve unpacked your beautiful little package and gently place it on your platter, you are treated to two relaxed, almost chilled out Hiphop tracks. The first, “Dream Farm” has an unsurprisingly floaty, relaxed feel. Emcees Dr Syntax & Jon Clark take you on a journey through dream land and whilst this may seem a little backpacker / hippyfied, it’s done well enough not to matter. The b-side “A Remote World” features Rup, Mole, Enlish & DJ Manipulate follows on superbly from “Dream Land” as all three emcees explore the area between being asleep and awake. Both tracks are produced by See who continues to show that he’s more than nice with his.

The concepts both compliment each other perfectly and this gives the 7” a real complete feeling. Whilst the concepts will have road mans in disgust at the complete lack of threats being spat, for those of you who enjoy more depth to your music, this release is highly recommended. With only 250 pressed, make sure you move quick.
