A real feelgood airy hiphop twelve from Brighton based A.Skillz & Krafty Kuts. Opening track ‘Gimme The Breaks’ allows Kurtis Blow to work up a summertime sweat over jangling guitar riffs and squelchy b-lines in a basic reworking of Blows original ‘The Breaks’. The second track ‘Trika Technology’ features TC Izlaam who melodically spits relaxed verses across a bouncy but slightly irritating piece of big-beat-esque arrangement. The production on this track wears thin with frightening speed. Finally the instrumental ‘Aint It Funky’ is vaguely reminiscent of early Cymande but sounds slightly too digital and clean – a track to play when your looking for that JB’s reissue in your crate. Overall – a happy fun platter of hip-POP; containing a title track guaranteed to raise a smile.
