Nottingham’s finest returns with his third release from the critically acclaimed ‘Spaz The World’ set. “I.D.S.T.” is another classic P Brothers production – crisp, hard drums that sound like huge pipes being smacked with a stick and an unrelenting bass line. This perfectly sets the backing for Cappo’s blistering raps which have a battle style feel to them as he bigs himself up and proves his skills by “forming a track with impact”.
The B-side, “I Know”, follows in much the same vain, this time with production by the man himself. The mid-tempo beat matches the ample standards set by the P Brothers with aplomb, in fact, you’d be hard pressed to tell that it wasn’t by the Heavy Bronx duo, and of course, Cappo comes correct with his rhymes again, dropping more “extravagant rap shit” for your listening pleasure.
So along with instrumentals and a capellas of both tracks, this is a worthy purchase all in all, with both tunes guaranteed to get heads, hearts and bodies moving. And even if this review is destroyed, it will surely still be true.
