this EP has been causing a stir on the proper radio shows for a while now, Genesis Elijahs debut release the speaker shaking humdinger of a tune 'Jah Bless' produced by Non Slick with guest vocals from Klashnekoff has sheer quality written all over it with the raggafied chorus splitting up concious ruff verses from Genesis and solid as always K-Lash over a bass heavy space age production
'Thats How It Goes' on the flip is a real departure from the main track, a laid back horizontal Tom Caruana production, a producer who continually impresses, with a real laid back flow from Genesis Elijah admitting at the end that he doesn't consider himself the best MC on these shores but wants to be discussed in the breath as those considered the best. and if he brings his pet lions as illustrated on the front of the 12 you're not really gonna argue!
excellent two track debut and introduction to Genesis Elijah making his album keenly awaited...
Jah Bless is released 30th May on Countryboy/Dominant 3rd, the CD album 'Deh Pon Road' is out 2nd July
