Any hiphop fan from these shores has got to be interested in this 12”. I mean what is it about Diversion Tactics that means they get to do tracks with some really heavy US underground acts?! Whatever their formula, or as I suspect bribe, they need to keep it up because a little trans-pond collaboration always throws up some niceness. Both tracks feature Diversion Tactics coming heavy on the boards, with some classic, almost early Gangstarr, sounding production for the A-side. Percee P does some straight up battle-ish, but for those of you familiar with the Rhyme Inspector, who wouldn’t want anything else, it’s sure to hit the spot. The B-side ‘NY to the UK’ has a fairly basic but chunky beat, until the space blaster like noises drift in and out adding more character. Tim Dog who’ve not heard from in a while smashes it, as does Percee. It’s pleasing to hear that the Diversion Tactics boys hold there own on the m.i.c. too.
