Supar Novar All The Way b/w Never Give In 12"

As the imminent release of Supar Novar’s debut LP “From The Beginning” draws ever closer, Kemet release another 2 track single, with both presumably taken from the aforementioned album. After the last few single releases from the former Flip Da Skript and Mud Family member, there shouldn’t be any duff shots pulled.

Whilst this release is not duff like Damien, it does beg the questions of how to compile a single nowadays. It’s all well and good plucking two nice tracks from your forthcoming album, but they have to be the right ones and if you album doesn’t have any ‘single’ tracks, simply don’t release any singles! “All The Way” and “Never Give In” are both nice tracks, which sound like they would sit into the scheme of an album proper. Yet despite Novar’s best efforts, neither track really grabs you enough to make this wax a needle killer. For all the beauty of the beat on “Never Give In” or the time-to-shine lyrics on “All The Way”, these tracks were never meant for a single, more a long player or at the very least an EP. Still, all signs point to “From The Beginning” shaping up as an album that’s going to be worth checking out.
