Chester P Oh No (He Loves A Ho) 12"

As a member of both M.U.D. Family and Task Force, London’s Chester P has spent the last decade-plus building himself a formidable reputation as a multi-faceted wordsmith. Able to spit ferocious bars when in battle-mode, yet pen beautifully abstract poetry when in a more reflective mood, Chester will soon be displaying his full potential on his debut solo album ‘From The Ashes’.

As the first single to be lifted from the project, ‘Oh No (He Loves A Ho)’ is a glimpse at the lighter side of the brooding rapper’s personality. Over Louis Slipperz minimal-yet-upbeat reggae-tinged production, Chester tells a twisted but humorous tale of love, drugs and money, warning men everywhere of the possible consequences of becoming emotionally involved with a lady of the night. Farma G is also on-hand with his own grimy story to tell.

The elasticised funk of the flipside ‘Chessmonster’ finds Chester playing his O.G. card with style and flare, showing rap newbies that talent, longevity and experience still count for more than fake street cred and MySpace page hits.
