Wretch 32 Punctuation feat. Scorcher, Bashy & Shameless 12"
After dropping his “Learn From My Mixtape” in 2006, Wretch has been steadily building up his reputation and “Punctuation” is surely his biggest single yet.
From the moment the string soaked track kicks in, Wretch wastes no time in smacking it with his original take on the English language. Verses that are spat with punctuation marks is definitely a novel idea and Wretch pulls it off superbly. The single also comes with a phat little remix, featuring some fairly big names in the whole Grime / Hiphop scene right now. Namely Bashy, Scorcher & Shameless.
Whilst lyrically this track is on point, the stringing production does start to wane in it’s appeal after a while. For this reason I think this track’s got a short shelf life, but there’s certainly good things to come from Wretch.
