This is a top 12" - I like both of the a-sides and rate the value added fact they added an acapella on here for all the beatheads to mess with out there in the bedroom studios. First up is Aspects bringing the Lp title track "Correct English" to the table with a slight relick. They added another quality MC to the mix in Taskforce's Chester P - basically Chester exchanges verses in between each of the Aspects. The beat is chunky with nice bassline shifts n' a heavy break. Overall - its a classy remix which actually adds something different in the vibe shown by the original - Chester hits with some nice abstract one liners n' his voice balances out the track. Although during his verses the sound quality does noticeably drop which gives a cut n' paste feel to the track - which is a shame. The 12 also features "We Get Fowl" which just made me laugh outright - especially the barkin chicken noise inside the beat. This is some stupid shit though - I couldnt work any of it out so just took it on face value - lyrically just a bare joke. The production has good sound quality and cutting is superb throughout. I'm not overly keen on the We Get Fowl remix included here cos I thought compared to the first remix it never added enough spice to the original. Overall - a through and through quality 12" from a crew making original music full of ideas. Plus as a bonus any crew that can get up on daytime national telly (Aspects recently performed We Get fowl on a BBC2 pop show) - and start rappin off about Bernard Matthews golden drummers alongside spit roasting birds - well they deserve six quid of my loot.
